Start with the team shape

March of Giants is presented as a 4v4 War MOBA. Before the match begins, agree on a simple plan: who is watching each approach, where Soldiers should gather, and which frontline deserves Battleworks support. The goal is not to split four players into isolated duels.

The Giants overview explains the player-facing commander role, while Soldier control basics focuses on turning that role into movement decisions.

Make the Giant decision first

A Giant is visible and valuable, so avoid walking into an uncertain area without a reason. Use the Giant to create pressure, protect a Soldier push, or respond to a threatened position. Do not assume that a specific ability, cooldown, or damage value is final unless it appears in the current official build notes.

Move Soldiers with a purpose

Soldiers are not background decoration. Give them a clear job: hold a route, reinforce a push, contest an objective area, or buy time for a retreat. The Soldiers overview and how Giants lead Soldiers are useful companions for this part of the match.

Use Battleworks to change a decision

Battleworks should answer a battlefield question. A defensive structure can make a position safer, while a more aggressive deployment can help a team contest space. Read Battleworks and map control with the Battlefield overview before trying to invent a fixed placement guide.

What is not confirmed yet

Public official pages do not provide a complete match timer, objective list, or final map layout. This wiki will update those details when official information or clearly labeled player testing supports them.
