How Giants Lead Soldiers in March of Giants

Use this framework to connect Giant positioning with Soldier movement, frontline pressure, and Battleworks decisions in March of Giants 4v4 matches.

Think in connected actions

The Giant, Soldiers, and Battleworks are described as parts of one battlefield rather than separate minigames. When you move the Giant, ask what the Soldier force can now do: advance, hold, regroup, or retreat.

The Soldiers overview covers the army layer, while Battleworks overview explains the infrastructure layer.

Escort pressure instead of solo pressure

A Giant moving alone may be visible without creating lasting control. When the team wants to pressure a route, coordinate the Giant’s position with a Soldier wave or reinforcement. The purpose is not to stand in front of every unit; it is to make the next Soldier decision safer.

Protect the reset

When a push stops being favorable, the Giant can help the army disengage. A controlled reset is often more valuable than a late chase that leaves Soldiers and Battleworks exposed. This is a decision principle, not a claim about a specific ability or cooldown.

Turn space into a plan

Battleworks can change how a contested position is approached. Read Battleworks and map control with Battlefield overview to connect Giant positioning to terrain and defensive choices.

Verify the current build

The official Steam page and official website are the current public references. They do not yet publish a complete command glossary, so this wiki will label later mechanics pages by test date and build when evidence becomes available.
